Cheers, Grandaddy!

My grandfather recently passed away and to say my heart hurts is an understatement. He was truly an amazing man and Greg and I owe so much to him.  We wouldn't be where we are today without his love and support and it aches me to know he will never be able to meet our children.

I do know he is watching over us as we were able to get some amazing news about our embryos soon after his passing, but it doesn't take away the pain of loss.

Love you Granddaddy. Cheers!

Down by the Bayou

This past weekend we went to the wedding of my dad's wife's son in Louisiana. I've driven through Louisiana before, but I don't remember much of it.

We had a lot of fun! The venue was gorgeous and the reception was a blast. And talk about amazing food!

My little sister is MARRIED!

Through all of the pain of struggling with infertility, I'm so glad to have distractions.  A big distraction lately has been my little sister's wedding. I can't believe she is finally married. The wedding was completely perfect and I wish we could do it all over again. Okay, maybe I could pass on the tying the tulle to Christmas lights, but everything else I would do again!

I'm so proud of the woman she has become.  She's truly an inspiration and such a support to me.

Only the best cake topper out there!

Family Rivalry 2013

Every year, K-State and TCU play in football.  This year, the game was in Manhattan, Kansas and my sister, her fiance, my dad and his wife all came up for the game. We had a lot of fun (maybe too much?) and K-State came out on top!

Here's a few tailgating pictures and some at the game...

Happy 30th Birthday, Honey!

Today my wonderful, caring, sweet, handsome husband turned 30. We had a surprise party for him at the Royals vs. Cardinals game and he had no idea it was coming. Thanks to all of the family and friends that made the trek in the "hurricane" type storm.  It meant the world to have you there!

Worrying

This is something I have to continue to remind myself every single day. What is worrying going to get me? I have an amazing husband, 2 precious beagles and wonderful family and friends. It's important for me to look at the good inky life when so much is weighing down on us and our IF struggles.
